| Unless they are majorly depressed or something, I don't see how being a NEET is any reason not to take care of your hygiene. There's a more fundamental problem if someone only sees being clean as something they should do for others, but not for themselves too. |
| I had noticed that going outside makes me smell really bad. I'd need to not bathe for like 2-3 days to match the level of stench I acquired just for being outside for like 7 hours. |

| My dakimakura never complains about my hygiene, but even so I bathe or shower every other day, perhaps adding an extra day. I spot wash the smelly bits in-between time though. If I had I regular 9-5 or lived in a hot country I'd probably bathe more often than I do currently. |

| A shower is not only to "smell good", it is a basic hygiene that will help you avoid many issues. so yeah, they need to take showers even if nobody will ever meet them physically in 10 years. |
